Weather
Yelagiri experiences a moderate climate throughout the year. During the summer months from March until June, temperatures vary from 18°C to 34°C. Winter sets in during the months of November to February are cool and temperatures range from 11°C to 25°C. Monsoon begins during the months of July until September and receives average rainfall.

The best season to travel to Yelagiri is from November to February.

How To Reach :-

By Air
Yelagiri does not have an airport. Bangalore airport is the only nearest airport at 145 km. There are plenty of taxi service available from the Bangalore airport to Yelagiri and would charge about Rs 3000.

By Train
There are no direct trains to Yelagiri, but the nearest rail junction is Jolarpettai which is about 21 km away. Jolarpettai has connections with other railway stations in India. The Taxi service from Jolarpettai would be about Rs 450.

By Bus
Yelagiri is well connected by KSRTC bus that also connects Yelagiri with all major cities nearby. Bus services from Tiruoathur to Yelagiri which is about 27 km, to Bangalore which is about 140 km, Chennai which is around 250 km, Krishnagiri at about 40 km and to Vanayambadi at about 20 km.
