Silver Cascade falls is the first attraction that unfolds in front of a tourist on the Madurai - Kodaikanal road. It is 8 kms from Kodai Lake. The overflow of Kodai lake comes down here as a 180 feet high waterfall.The overflowing waters of Kodai Lake plunges over a steep-cliff, forming this enchanting spectacle.

It is like a pit stop for vehicles and tourists as there are shops selling fruits and other forest products. Though it is enticing to wet oneself in the sparkling waters, such a move is advised against, since the water is being polluted from its starting point till all the way down. Any nature lover can sit and enjoy the beauty of this falls for hours.

Before entering Kodaikanal we can spend sometime to enjoy this wonderful picnic spot. The more water comes only in rainy months of October and November. In summer days we can see only the little fall of water. Any way we can enjoy the unique beauty of this cascade admist thick green woods.
