Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum situated at Bikaner is one of the best museums in Rajasthan. It was established in 1937 near the Lalgarh Palace on the eve of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Maharaja Gaiiga Singh. Later in 1954 the museum was shifted to a new building in the Civil Lines and is now run by the Government of Rajasthan.

This interesting museum is on the Jaipur road. Exhibits include terra cotta ware from the Gupta period a range of Rajasthani traditional musical instruments miniature wooden models of Gajner and Lalgarh palaces and a miniature of the royal Bikaner train with the roof folded back to reveal its comfortable amenities. There is a separate exhibition hall with antique carpets and royal vestments.

Other interesting exhibits include decrees issued by the Mughals to the Maharajas of Bikaner.There are also some fine oil paintings. The sculptures include a beautiful and voluptuous image of Devi and a marble Jain Sculpture of Saraswati which dates from the 11th century.

Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum exhibits a varied collection of artifacts including terracotta pottery carpets paintings armory and miniature paintings of Bikaner school and coins. The exhibits are splendid masterpieces of Harappan civilization Gupta and Kushan era and sculptures of the late classical time.

Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00 hrs.
