Ethipothala Waterfalls, a famous picnic spot, 11 km. downstream from the Nagarjuna Sagar dam are set in a beautiful valley. The Chandravankas stream here plunges into a lagoon. The rising place of the river Chandra Vanka is at Muthukuru, which is on eastern part of the Nallamala hills. The river falls from a height of 70 feet before it joins the Tumurukota reserve forest and this place is called “Ethipothala water falls” finally joins the Krishna river.
