The nearest airport to Bolgatty Island in Kochi is Cochin International Airport which is about 22 kilometers from this island.

But the main attraction of Bolgatty Island at Kochi is the ancient Bolgatty Palace which was built by a Dutch trader in the year 1744. The palace holds the distinction of the oldest Dutch palace outside Holland.
