Parnasala

Parnasala is situated on the left bank of the Godavari at a distance of 35-km from Bhadrachalam. It is believed that towards the end of his exile in Dandakaranyam, Srirama stayed here in Parnsala with Sita and Lakshmana.

The village is accessible by road and boats. According to legend, it is said the Lord Sri Ram spent some of the 14 years of exile at this location. The local belief is that Sita had took her bathe in the nearby streams here and they say that the imprints in "Radhagutta" justifies their faith. Another story about Parnasala is that it was here that Lord Ram killed Maricha who came in masquerade of a golden deer to swindle Sita.

Parnasala, a popular picnic spot in the suburbs of Badrachalam is believed to be the place where the demon king Ravan abducted Sita Devi. A tiny hut, which portrays the major events of Ramayana with flamboyantly painted sculptures of Sri Ram, Laxman, Sita and Ravan is the main attraction in Parnasala.

Bhadrachalam Temple

The main attraction in Bhadrachalam is the Bhadrachalam Temple. It is the center of celebration on Rama Navami day, the wedding anniversary of Lord Rama and Sita, as well as other festivals. The temple also contains many smaller temples of other gods and goddesses within it, including the temples of Lord Shiva and Narasimha. There are many things to behold at the site, like the four pillars that contain the images of different religious figures or the ceiling which holds a breathtaking three-petal lotus made out of granite.

If you want souvenirs, there is a nice shop on the premises where you could buy different items like copper coins or posters.

Abhaya Anjaneya Temple

A temple of comparatively recent origin, Sri Abhaya Anjaneya temple at Seethammadhara is constructed in the year 1998. Dedicated to Lord Hanuman, this temple is under the control of the trust presided by its founder. The glittering marble floor, tidy walls with delicately carved images of various  'deities make a visitor to the temple spellbound.

One among the awesome sight is the beautiful sculptures of gods and goddesses, carved along the border of the temple complex. Though constructed in cement, it appears like wooden sculptures.

Perfect Rooms and nice hotel with impressive gardens. The hotel is well situated in the town but not noisy at all. Good restaurant but only with tasty and very spicy thalis.
